HOK Venue, in association with Veazey Parrot & Shoulders and Coopers & Lybrand, designed an expansion to the Evansville Auditorium and Civic Center. The project included a major expansion and renovation of the existing auditorium and the addition of a parking structure.
The exhibit hall is adjacent to the auditorium with prefunction space servicing both areas. The multipurpose Gold Room was expanded to create a larger ballroom with adjacent meeting rooms. A circulation spine off the City's civic commons creates a new "front door" and provides multiple entry points for simultaneous events in the exhibit hall, auditorium and ballroom.
